Amy Booker

Lecturer

I started working in practice in 2004 and qualified as an RVN in 2009.

I have worked in a variety of small animal practices since I started nursing and worked as head nurse since 2013. I have also been a clinical coach to several students.

Whilst in practice I have achieved my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing and a COAPE Certificate in Canine and Feline Veterinary Health Nutrition.

I have a keen interest in all things feline and in nutrition, particularly weight management and clinical nutrition. I also enjoy in patient care and discovering ways we can improve the experience for our hospitalised patients.

Outside of work I have recently adopted a cat from Cat’s Protection called Custard who is settling in well. I enjoy reading (particularly crime fiction), baking and attempting to keep fit.
