Kelly Charlton

Lecturer

I joined MYF in October 2023 but I started my Veterinary career way back in 2000 with Julie. I was one of 30 students that were the first intake at MYF and I completed my training in 2003.

I have worked in a variety of small animal practices in Surrey, at out of hours clinics and a referral clinic. I absolutely love nursing and have a passion for education. I want to pass on my experiences of being in practice for 23 years and get the next generation in love with the job as much as I did. Helping students to achieve their goals and be proud to be a Veterinary Nurse is now my purpose.

Outside of work I attend car shows in the UK and Europe as I own a 1971 VW Beetle called Bob. I also have a rescue black cat that has FIV, he is called Bagheera and is the reason I go home.

In June 2023 I went to Peru and trekked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, I’m always on an adventure of some sort.
