I have been an RVN since 2004, when I qualified with MYF. I have worked as an assessor and Clinical coach since 2005, which is a role I very much enjoyed in a busy, mixed hospital and Ophthalmology referrals, on the edge of the New Forest. During that time I have developed a deep love of supporting students throughout their training, and in particular OSCE revision. I qualified for my Certificate in Anaesthesia in 2017, and find the challenge of a high risk anaesthetic very rewarding. I have completed the RECOVER CPR training, as well as many other areas of CPD. My favourite area of practice is being in theatre and ensuring that anaesthetic and analgesia protocols are patient specific. I am currently studying for my Certificate in Surgical Nursing.
I am very excited to be given the opportunity to return to MYF, and pursue a change in career that I have always had a passion for. I am responsible for teaching anatomy and physiology, as well as laboratory.
I have a ball mad border collie, a free range rabbit who thinks she is half human/half dog, and some crazy chickens. So when I am not trying to prevent them destroying my garden, I am a keen gardener and have an allotment.
