Up to 80% of our mature canine patients suffer from arthritis. Hill's believe that nurses have a crucial role to play in the management of osteoarthritis (OA) and this presentation will look at the basic pathology of this debilitating, progressive disease and how the nurse can provide significant, life changing support and advice for the owners of arthritic pets.
We'll take a closer look at owner attitudes to OA, some of the environmental and nutritional changes that improve the quality of life for arthritic pets and the key role the nurse plays in the practice OA team.
